Why is ‘HRBS’ so important now, this is mainly due to the advent of social media and the new generation brought up on social media, who can choose not to work for an unethical company. HRBS concerns both present and future employees of a firm or of a public office, it deals with the ‘Why’. The question for current employees is why should I stay at this employer? And the question for future employees is why I should join this employer.
HRBS is underestimated by many employers, who have forgotten the courteous act of sending at least the acknowledgement of a potential employee’s interest in their company or public office. And especially the reasons for any rejection to the post the applicant has gone for, so that individual can learn from the experience and become better.
It is amazing that many of these employers bemoan the difficulty of finding the ideal candidate for one of their jobs, especially when they show so little respect to a job applicant.
Most logically one would think that if an employer that shows no respect to a job applicant, they would not have a nice work culture. I know many including myself, who would never work for an employer who treats job applicants so poorly. Maybe, employers could get away with such poor behaviour in the past, but social media makes the potential talent which is the ideal fit for them, shy away. The losers being the employers, whether in the private or public sector.

How do you create an organisation where talented employees want to stay and future talent wants to join, well, you make sure as an organisation you increase the HR Brand Selling (HRBS) of your organisation.
